TRIP OVERVIEW

This special trip will take you through the western part of Tanzania, which has historical significance. The Great Explorers of Africa, such as Livingstone, Speke, and Stanley, all passed through those areas in search of the source of the river Nile. The area between Tabora and Kigoma, which we will cover, was a slave route with slaves passing through those places during their 42-day journey from the port of Ujiji /in the west/ to Bagamoyo /in the east/ planting hundreds of mango trees their way.

This route was created with the idea of showing you the interior of Tanzania, usually overlooked by a tourist, so that you get a chance to experience and photograph raw Africa that has not been influenced by the travel industry. This is a unique opportunity to see one of the interior tribes /the Nyamwezi people/ and their traditions, especially of those who have not been converted to Christianity, and to experience the life of
people on the shores of the majestic Lake Tanganyika.

The fishermen's culture and the aquatic landscape in combination with the deep interior of the country will give you a solid ground for your photography experience and will become a source of inspiration bringing new creative ideas for your visual exploration.

We will end our trip by visiting Gombe Stream National Park for the beautiful interaction with the chimpanzees. We will have at least 2 chimpanzee tracks during our visit to the park and will enjoy the crystal clear waters of Tanganyika Lake - a perfect ending to the intense trip.
