EXPEDITION OVERVIEW
This tour will take you deep into the Southern Serengeti to witness the Great Migration of Wildebeest during the green season from January through March when the area around the border of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area becomes the perfect ground for the mass wildebeest calving. Here the plains are rich in nutritious grass, providing the herds with the best conditions for raising their newborn calves. There is a lot of action going on at this time, as the predators become especially active and take every opportunity to hunt easy prey. To witness this spectacle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that should top the bucket list of every safari enthusiast.
This trip is not limited to the Great Migration only, since you will also get a chance to explore the central part of the Serengeti where you will enjoy different landscapes and absolutely fantastic sunsets. You may be pleasantly surprised by the array of wild animals in that part of the park.
The route is designed to offer you the incredible experience of the African bush during this special season. Throughout your stay, you will be accommodated in a selection of comfortable classic safari camps away from the crowds, which will give you the opportunity for an intimate connection with nature.

Maswa Game Reserve and remote Southern Serengeti are two of the most breathtaking and wildlife-rich areas in Tanzania. In Maswa, visitors can experience a rugged terrain that includes rocky hills, vast savannahs, and dense forests, providing a range of habitats for wildlife. The reserve is home to diverse wildlife species, including large predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as wellas herbivores like zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest. You can also enjoy birdwatching and seeing a variety of bird species in their natural habitats.
