Our driver will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to your lodge in Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival at the lodge, your tour leader and a member of our team will meet you for a briefing and Q&A about your trip.

Upon arrival to Ruaha, we transfer you to your camp, rest, and proceed with the afternoon game drives and sundowner.

Ruaha National Park is situated in the southern part of Tanzania, and is named after the Ruaha River, which flows through the park. The park is home to a wide variety of habitats, including savannah, woodland, and riverine forest, and is renowned for its wildlife diversity. The park is home to over 10,000 elephants, making it one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. It is also home to a large population of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and wild dogs, as well as over 570 species of birds.

Enjoy your stay in a grove of sausage trees in Ruaha National Park on the banks of the Ifuguru River, in the best game area in the park.

Bush walks: there’s no better tree to hug than a baobab, with their strangely human form. Smooth bark - dust scented. The crevices are home to reptiles, bats, and owls. Round the trunks lie crunchy shells of their furry seeds, lemony to taste. It’s only when you walk, that you find this out -and many, many other things about the bush.

Game drives: you get a tremendous feeling of anticipation when you’ve grabbed cameras and shades, and left camp with a guide, in our open vehicles. Who knows what we’re going to find, but for sure there’ll be moments of excitement, fascination, and peace amongst the great beasts and herds of Ruaha.

In the morning be ready to relocate to Mahale Mountains on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, one of the Great Lakes of Africa.

One of the main attractions of Mahale Mountains National Park is its population of chimpanzees. The park is home to one of the largest populations of wild chimpanzees in the world, with an estimated population of over 1,000 individuals. You will go on guided hikes to observe the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, and the park is one of the few places in the world where you can have the opportunity to track and observe wild chimpanzees up close.

Enjoy chimpanzee tracking, kayaking, and boat safari during your stay.
In addition to chimpanzees, Mahale Mountains National Park is also home to a wide variety of other wildlife, including forest elephants, leopards, baboons, and a variety of bird species. The park's forests and mountains offer a unique ecosystem, with a mix of tropical rainforest and montane forest habitats.

Early morning domestic air transfer to the tented lodge in Ngorongoro Conservation Area Ndutu Lake just in time for the Great Migration of Wildebeest and Zebra (wildebeest calving season).

Be prepared for the domestic air transfer to Arusha from the Serengeti. Evening debriefing and goodbye dinner. There is an option to go back to Arusha by car with about 6-hour drive through the scenic landscape of Ngorongoro Crater rim.
